I thought it would be a nice idea to record a diary of Christmas 2024 , my first within this new adventure, new era of my life, so......

Here we go with Christmas 2024 and it's started with a bang! A busy end to November/beginning to December, with family visits, from Cornwall to Tattershall to Coventry to Birmingham and back to Cornwall, '70s parties to attend and paintings to do. Or so we thought, all to be cut short when hubby caught the cold from hell and had to abandon things and make the nearly 400 mile drive home 😩

Oh, & throw into the mix. My sister moving from Birmingham to Cornwall, A long awaited event, and one which has brought me great happiness!

Following that a two-day treat for my birthday of a stay in Tintagel (still yet to come, we are only on 2nd December now)  which my wonderful husband has treated me to.

I thought it would be nice to do some bespoke paintings as gifts for my (grown up) children, (on account of me now being a broke artist!)  then along came a few requests for paintings so I am going to be a very busy bee!

I had been itching to get painting as soon as I got home, I had missed been able to let go and be creative whilst I was away. The day after we arrived home my paints were out again and I began....

As December draws to an end I reflect on what has been a somewhat busy, but happy, month. I have fallen in love with the soft creativity of balloon rolling, with it's endless feathery curls and wisps, the way the colours blend into each other. I'm loving all the techniques and styles of fluid art that I'm discovering and having a great time playing with. I'm making lots of rookie mistakes, which are very frustrating (especially when they ruin what was a promising piece of artwork) but are also a very necessary part of learning.

I have had a beautiful time with my family, my sister been so close by is a wonderful blessing that I still can't quite believe. I, once again, overdid things and caused a really painful flare up but I guess I will never learn my lesson with that one.

I will be entering 2025 with a feeling of hope, peace and anticipation as to where this new world of creativity might take me! Wherever it is I will be going with the flow, both literally and figuratively!

Closing this section with some pictures of the artwork I have completed during this December......
